Nature of the research:
Systematic review

Fields of study:

Background / introduction
Doctors think about a disease in other terms than the average patient does. That’s why it’s important to change how physicians evaluate and talk to patients about their health. Physicians can use health outcomes data to evaluate how they’re doing compared to their peers worldwide. In turn, this gives physicians a unique opportunity to learn from one another and improve the way they provide care. Aim is to unlock the potential of value-based health care by defining global Standard Sets of outcome measures that really matter to patients for the most relevant medical conditions and by driving adoption and reporting of these measures worldwide. So far this has not been done in autoimmune bullous disease.
Research question / problem definition
To assess the use of PROMS in autoimmune bullous disease
Perform a systematic review of the use of PROMS in autoimmune bullous disease.
